Okay, I'll admit it, I don't think this one is included in any of the Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme collections, but every child knows it and loves it, so I'm going to include it! Make or buy animal masks and re-enact rhymes such as Hey Diddle Diddle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Old MacDonald, This Little Piggy, Little Bo Peep, Three Little Kittens. Then, she held hands with Emma and me Five Little Ducks and we walked her slowly over the ducks counting as she stepped on each new duck. Most Nursery Rhymes can be found online, but they will absorb more if they can hold a book-especially one with colorful illustrations. Examples are duck, duck, goose; the shoe game (hide their shoes around the house and have them find them), I spy, follow the leader, a birthday parade (using pots and pans from around the house), and rhyme time game.
